If you follow this blog and the martial arts scene you will know that it is huge at the moment but there are a few ‘major players’ out there who are market leaders. We have the pressure point expert Anthony Pillage. The amazing supernatural evasive striking of Phil Norman. The Hollywood martial arts legend that is Andy Norman and lets not forget the amazing Bob Breen and Eddie Quinn.
But what if I told you there is a chance to train with them all for free! Well not quite free but for the small price of admission to the years hottest martial arts event Seni 2014.
The event takes place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th at the Soccerdome in London and is a major spectacular event.
Now I could tell you all about the MMA events, the UFC fighters and the actual tournaments you can watch whilst you are there, however Im going to be slightly and ever so controversial here because on this weekend we will be seeing people under the same roof that actually have massively different views on self defence.

Guy Bloom has been writing in the leading martial arts publication Martial Arts Illustrated for some time now and has not been shy in coming forward with his views. In fact (and Im sure Guy wont mind me saying this) FRACT has quickly gathered a reputation for getting its point across no matter how direct it is.
So far we have seen Guy have a negative view on Pressure Points and their use for self defence and also we have read about his views on the ‘double arm head cover’ (or whatever you want to call it). Now Guy has actually been in touch with me and asked if Im coming to Seni so I can try out his FRACT system as Guy has a free workshop for those paying to get into the event. Im currently trying to move heaven and earth to get time so I can go to the event. But take a look at FRACT in the clip below:

I wonder what I will make of FRACT? Will I become a new FRACT instructor after I sample it or will I think its terrible? I dont know but its a great chance to try it out and see if it is really worth the hype. I think I need to give FRACT a try to see what its like and yes I really will test it out to see if it stands up to scrutiny and I will write about what I find.
But if you look at the actual sessions going on you will see that on the Saturday Guy Bloom has to wait for the pressure point expert Anthony Pillage to finish his slot. Now Anthony has fast become a world authority in Pressure Points and I have his DVD set which is awesome (read the review here). His pressure points are known to inflict massive pain in seconds and that skill is a must have in the self defence arena, so Anthony is another I really want to train with, just look at his video clip below and see the sheer pain he puts his opponent in:

But I know that Bloom and Pillage do not like each other, both have opposing views of each others personality and systems and Guy Bloom has pretty much come out and said that pressure points dont work in self defence. So we have an amazing situation here as you have the opportunity to try both back to back and decide for yourself!!!!!
Im an honest guy and if the pressure points dont work Ill say and if the FRACT system has holes in it I will write about it. However the only way for people to find out the truth is to be there ,so dont just read this blog actually be there!
