Free Clinch Domination Workshop- The MA EXPO

Primal Arm push takedown option

I here a lot of different things these days in the martial arts and self defence world but ‘amazing’ is a term I rarely use myself to describe anything. However one thing that deserves that term is the Martial Arts Expo event taking place at the Ricoh arena in Coventry on 19th and 20th of October.

This event is a huge spectacle of martial arts that really has to be seen to be believed and as luck would have it I am actually teaching a free (with admission) workshop on the Sunday 20th.

The workshop is called Clinch Domination and will be an hour long session that will investigate the use of the clinch in combat self defence situations.

The session will take a look at the following areas:

  • Combat Gripping- How to grip and where to grip an opponent
  • Balance Displacement
  • Training Techniques
  • Vertical Arm Triangle
  • The Break Down- A new approach to taking people down to the floor safely
  • OSD (One Side Domination)- How to destroy your opponents ability to strike with one technique, this really does stop an opponent doing anything!
  • Getting into the clinch
  • Theory of Positional Dominance
  • The Clinch and multiple opponents
  • Take down options

Wow that’s a lot in an hour so bring a note pad. This really will be as in depth as I can get in the time limit and a real learning event. This may be a free workshop but you really will leave with a head full of ideas and knowledge in an area I have a lot of experience within. If I was to estimate the cost of this workshop I would say at least £150 for all the things I ma going to show you, so for free its a great deal.
